Terms of service
By creating an account or using stageCheer, you agree to these terms. This is a plain-language summary, not a substitute for reading the sections below.
Your account
- You need to be at least 13 years old to create an account.
- You're responsible for the accuracy of what you post and for keeping your password safe.
- One person, one account — don't create an account to impersonate someone else or a business you don't represent.
Content you post
- You keep ownership of what you post (event details, images, messages) — you're just giving stageCheer the right to show it on the app to the people it's meant for (event attendees, other event participants, or the public, depending on what you post and its visibility setting).
- Don't post anything you don't have the right to post, or anything illegal, harassing, or fraudulent.
- We can remove content, or suspend an account, that breaks these terms.
Keeping it respectful
- There is no place on stageCheer for objectionable content: nothing hateful, sexually explicit, violent, threatening, harassing, misleading or fraudulent, and no spam.
- To report an event or a profile, use the Report button on its page. Our team reviews every report within 24 hours, and may hide the content or suspend the account.
- To stop seeing someone, use Block on their profile. You will no longer see their events, and they can't invite or message you. You can undo it any time under Settings, Blocked people.
- Reports are confidential: the person reported is not told who reported them.
Payments
If a payment feature is turned on, contributions and sponsor payments are handled under the separate Payment policy, which these terms include by reference. See the Payment policy.
Ending your account
- You can delete your account at any time by asking support (see the Privacy policy).
- We can suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, engages in fraud, or creates risk for other users.
Disclaimer
- stageCheer connects organizers, performers, volunteers, and sponsors — we don't run or guarantee anyone's event, and we're not a party to any deal made between users through the app.
- The app is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We work to keep it reliable but can't promise it'll be error-free or always available.
- To the extent the law allows, stageCheer isn't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction — not yet decided]. We may update these terms as the app changes; continued use after a change means you accept the update.
